Copaxa decrescens

Copaxa decrescens is widespread in the Neotropics from Costa Rica to northern Argentina. It inhabits moist tropical and subtropical forests, and gallery forests in savannas; up to 1,600 m. Sexually dichromatic (see below); wingspan 90-125 mm. The larvae feed on leaves of the Lauraceae, Salicaceae, etc. Adults fly from September to March in southeastern Brazil.
